Murphy Landing Resort has a long history on Wabana Lake. It began operations in 1950 and has been run continuously since then as a “Mom and Pop” seasonal fishing resort. Current owners John and Mary Uradnik bought the resort in 1976; it was their dream to be self-employed and to live on the water in the beautiful Chippewa National Forest. The Uradniks built additional cabins over the decades; the resort currently offers eleven modern cabins that are fully equipped for housekeeping.

We’ll be frank: Reservations are often hard to come by at the resort. The majority of guests at Murphy Landing have been vacationing at the resort for decades. While cabin availability can be limited, we do get cancellations each summer. Guests with flexibility in their vacation plans have a better chance of obtaining a cabin. We generally cannot accommodate large groups that require more than two cabins. We do not allow camping or tenting.

The season at Murphy Landing runs from mid-May through September. The resort is officially closed on October 1st each year.
